Starkatcher Cotons has a proud 20 year history of producing happy, healthy Coton de Tulear. My Cotons reflect years of research to achieve the look of the "uniquely adorable" and expressive Cotons that you see here.
Health is of prime importance to me and you'll find thoroughly health tested parents and a strong history of good genetics behind every Starkatcher Coton. My training as a veterinary assistant has solidified that commitment to good health practices.
Starkatcher Cotons breeds to the approved Coton Standard making them the proper size to take with you to enjoy all of your family adventures!
My accomplishments include owning, breeding and handling multiple Award Winning #1 Cotons, numerous Champions and Top 10 Champion Cotons.Starkatcher Cotons have competed in agility, made loving visits as therapy dogs, earned Canine Good Citizen titles, but, most important, Starkatcher Cotons are Champions of Love !
My commitment to the Coton Community includes terms of service as Vice President in the USACTC and President of the AACDT. I've served on committees in all capacities, including newsletter editor, show chairperson and breed education. I am an active member of the Eastern Stewards Association and the Berks County All Breed Kennel Club where I am currently serving as the AKC Delegate. My further membership includes the UKC Parent Breed Club for the Coton de Tulear.
Earning the privilege to say that I am an AKC Judge has been one of the most exciting experiences I have had since entering the dog fancy!
Breed education is vital to the well being and future of the Coton.. I have designed and presented the power point visual standard interpretation as well as the documents used to educate Judges since our AKC acceptance. I have also participated in numerous Meet the Breed Events to introduce Cotons to the public. I am the author of the Coton de Tulear profile in the Complete Dog Book, long considered the "bible" for the judges and dog enthusiasts, and have had a multitude of articles published in various canine magazines as well as the AKC Gazette.
My commitment is continuing support so that you will have a life full of love and joy with your Starkatcher Coton.
